More specifically, we are leaving by megabus tomorrow morning, and will be embarking on the first train trip at 11:59 PM from Pittsburgh to Chicago. BUT, before Chi-town, we're going to bounce around Oakland and hang out with Katie and Craig Sewall (Kraitie!!!) for the evening. After Kraitie moved from Harrisburg to Pittsburgh this summer, I've been missing these dear people in my daily life. Looking forward to this reunion!
Looking forward to seeing all of you, really, because it's possible we will be stopping in your state, and maybe your city! So, "get at us", I guess. We have phones! We're going to try to be diligent in updating this blog because we (really, I can only speak for me) feel genuinely grateful for this opportunity to travel and see a bit more of the US, and wish we could take all of you with us! So... trak to the future with us instead!
* For those who may not have heard, Doug and I are taking a 30-day amtrak trip across the country to see new places, visit with friends, make some new ones. I will be seeking good cups of coffee in each city, and have taken the challenge to drink from the same cup everywhere (this is for you JG), and document with a picture. These pictures might be posted here. But the real reason we're going doesn't have anything to do with drinking coffee from the same cup. I guess there isn't really a reason. I've always wanted to take an extended train trip across the country. Now that my life is a bit more conducive to transience and I have a brother who wants to take a break from things here in Harrisburg, we're going. Doug and I have grown into good friends in the last several years; we're similar enough and different enough that I think we'll make a-okay travel buddies. And so, the adventure begins! Join us.
